Liverpool have officially confirmed that they have accepted a bid from Bundesliga outfit TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for Dutch winger Ryan Babel. Media reports earlier this month had linked Babel with a return to his old club Ajax as part of a possible deal to bring Luis Suarez to Liverpool but it now seems that the Dutch winger will be moving to Germany instead of the Netherlands.
The fee Hoffenheim have offered for Babel was not revealed, but is expected to be somewhere around the £8m mark. Babel has struggled to hold down a first team spot at Liverpool since his switch to England from Ajax in 2007.
