Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of striker Dimitar Rangelov from Energie Cottbus. Cottbus, who were relegated at the end of the 2008-09 Bundesliga season, let Rangelov move to Signal Iduna Park for €1.2 million.
Rangelov joined Cottbus from French side Strasbourg in 2007, and scored 15 goals for the side in 49 appearances. He has also made 11 appearances for the Bulgarian national team.
Rangelov has put pen to paper a four year deal at Dortmund. He becomes their second major signing of the summer after Markus Feulner.
The 26 year old said that he was delighted to be joining Dortmund, and added that it was an important step in his career.
