Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is looking for a proven goalscorer to bolster Spurs’ forward line as he looks to strengthen his squad in the summer. Spurs had a wonderful debut season in the Champions League under Redknapp but failed to qualify for the 2011/12 edition of the same tournament, losing out to Man City.
None of Redknapp’s current three striking options- Jermain Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch, have been really prolific upfront and the manager has revealed that he wants a consistent striker in order to keep Spurs in the hunt for the Champions League next season.
Spurs have so far been linked with the likes of Kevin Gameiro, Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor, but no concrete moves have taken place.
