Manchester United midfield legend Paul Scholes has stated that he would like to see Arsenal’s Samir Nasri in United colours next season. Scholes, widely considered as one of the best midfield players of his generation, said in an interview that he hoped Nasri would join United instead of City. He also launched a scathing attack on Arsenal, adding that the Gunners often “flatter to deceive”.
Nasri has only one year left on his Arsenal contract and is one of the players identified by United to plug the gap left by the retirement of Scholes. United’s great domestic rivals City are also interested in the £20m rated playmaker, who was one of Arsenal’s standout players last season, but is expected to the leave the Emirates along with Cesc Fabregas.
