Sheffield Wednesday have officially completed the signing of Julian Bennett from Nottingham Forest. Defender Bennett, 26, has signed a two year contract with the Owls and becomes their third signing of the summer transfer window after Rob Jones and David Prutton.
The move re-unites Bennett with Owls boss Gary Megson, who brought him to Forest from Walsall back in 2006. Bennett started his career with Walsall and also had a loan spell at Crystal Palace in the 2010/2011 season. He made over a hundred appearances for Forest in his five year long stay at the City Ground and was their Player of the Season when they won promotion from League One to the Championship.
Wednesday are also working on the acquisition of Lloyd Dyer from Leicester City, but no formal announcement has been made about the latter’s signing yet.
