Brazilian club Corinthians have made a shock £35m bid for homesick Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez. Tevez wants to be closer to his daughers Katie and Florencia, who are currently in Argentina with their mother Vanesa after the latter failed to adjust to life in Manchester.
The bid Corinthians have tabled for Tevez is well off City’s asking price of £50m but the player’s unhappiness at Eastlands, coupled with the fact that selling to Corinthians will keep the striker away from potential Premier League rivals, may see City’s bosses give their blessings to the deal if Tevez is fine with it.
If Tevez does join Corinthians, it would be his second spell with the Brazilian outfit. He earlier represented them between 2004 and 2006 before joining West Ham.
