Liverpool have joined the growing list of admirers for the unrelated Sierra Leonean striking pair of Teteh Bangura and Mohamed Bangura. Reds scouts were present when the Banguras played for their club AIK Solna against Halmstad BK. Teteh Bangura netted all four goals in AIK’s 4-0 victory that took the latter to joint third position in the league standings along with Kalmar. Mohamed provided the assists for Teteh’ first two goals before withdrawing from the game due to injury.
The Reds are not the first English Premier League club to show interest in the Sierra Leonean duo. Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea have all been keeping an eye on the duo’s progress.
The players’ agent has said that he expects at least one of his two clients to leave Sweden at the end of the current transfer window.
