A versatile right sided footballer who can play in both midfield and defence, Byrne was signed by Spurs from St. Albans City in 2008. He had a loan spell with both Brentford in the latter half of the 2010/2011 season. In his three months with the Bees, he made 11 appearances and was praised by the club’s manager for his stand out performance against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Byrne is yet to make a first team appearance for Spurs.
