Unsettled Mexican international Pablo Barrera has left West Ham United to join Real Zaragoza on a season long loan. The 24 year old, who joined the Hammers from UNAM in the summer of 2010, struggled to adjust to life in London and was looking for a switch away from Upton Park. West Ham announced that he was moving due to “language and personal reasons”
Barrera has made only two appearances for the Hammers in the 2011/12 season- the opening day defeat to Cardiff City and the League Cup loss to Aldershot Town.
Barrera’s loan move re-unites him with former Mexico coach and current Zaragoza boss Javier Aguirre, who also signed Efrain Juarez from Celtic on a similar deal earlier this summer.
