Chelsea have been long time admirers of the midfielder, who also openly expressed his desire to leave, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has refused to grant the move and the Croatian seems certain to stay at White Hart Lane.
Reports in Croatia also quoted Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic as saying that Modric had told him he would be staying put at the Lane.
