Scottish defender Danny Wilson has joined Championship outfit Blackpool on loan till the end of the season. The youngster, who was signed by Liverpool from Rangers, has been loaned out to the Seasiders to garner valuable first team experience. Wilson is not the first Liverpool player to go on loan to Blackpool- Jonjo Shelvey had a similar spell before he was recalled to Anfield.
Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam was also an acquisition from Blackpool.
Wilson could make his debut for the Seasiders when they take on Middlesbrough in their first league fixture of 2012. Wilson, who can play as both left and centre half, has made only nine appearances since his arrival at Liverpool.
