Real Madrid forward Esteban Granero has expressed his desire for a switch in surroundings, preferably to Kenny Dalglish’s Liverpool. El Pirata is frustrated with the lack of opportunities in the Madrid first team under Jose Mourinho and wants a switch if the situation isn’t going to improve in the future.
Granero’s agent, Teofilo Lazaro, made the statement on his client’s behalf. Granero has been with Real since he was a teenager and has been capped at various youth levels by Spain. He did have a two year spell with Getafe but Real exercised their buy back option in 2009.
Granero is valued at £8m and his availability will certainly arouse interest in other clubs apart from Liverpool.
