Leeds United are ready to fight it out with a host of other Championship rivals for the services of midfielder Fabian Delph after Alex McLeish announced that he was willing to send the youngster out on loan. Delph, 22, rose through the ranks at Elland Road to become one of Leeds’ brightest stars before he was sold to Aston Villa.
However injuries have hampered his progress in Birmingham and McLeish is now prepared to loan him out in order to help the 22 year old have some regular football under his belt.
Leeds, who have signed Danny Pugh and Andros Townsend in the winter market, face competition from West Ham United and other league rivals for Delph’s signature.
