Fulham have completed the signing of young midfielder Jack Grimmer from Aberdeen. The 17 year old has put pen to paper a deal that will keep him at Craven Cottage till the summer of 2015 ( a three and a half year contract). The exact compensation paid by Fulham to the Dons is unclear, but reports have it to be somewhere in the £200,000 range.
Aberdeen were desperate to hang on to Grimmer, who is the club’s youngest ever debutant, but were unable to convince him to stay at Pittodrie. Grimmer made his senior debut at the age of 16 against Scottish giants Rangers in 2010.
Dons boss Craig Brown expressed disappointment at having let Grimmer slip through his hands and said that he hoped for an overhauling of the FIFA rules regarding the transfers of young players.
