Fulham boss Martin Jol has warned all potential suitors of Clint Dempsey that the striker is not for sale. American international Dempsey has been in dazzling form for Fulham this season and was again the hero for the Cottagers as they stunned Alan Pardew’s Newcastle 5-2 at Craven Cottage yesterday. Dempsey scored three of Fulham’s five goals in the game, with Bobby Zamora and Danny Murphy scoring the others.
Dempsey has now taken his goal tally to fifteen and in a league where consistent sharpshooters are proving hard to find, it has sent his value soaring. However Jol insisted that Dempsey was not for sale and said that the American had a contract which he would honour by staying at Craven Cottage.
