PSV Eindhoven have made Bulgarian defender Stanislav Manolev their third signing of the summer. The transfer fee was not officially revealed, but sources say PSV have paid Litex Lovech around 3 million euros for the versatile wingback.
Manolev has put pen to paper a three year deal at PSV, and joins Andre Ooijer and Orlando Engelaar in the list of summer arrivals at the Philips Stadion.
Litex also rejected bids from Cologne and Aston VIlla for Manolev. PSV’s Dutch rivals Ajax Amsterdam were also reportedly interested in signing Manolev.
At the end of his three year contract, Manolev has an option to extend it by two years.
Manolev has made over 90 appearances for Litex, and has made five appearances for the Bulgarian national team.
