Ipswich Town have announced that they have signed Hungarian striker Tamas Priskin from Watford for an undisclosed fee. Priskin, 23, has put pen to paper a three year deal at Portman Road. He is expected to feature in the Ipswich squad that will open their Championship campaign against Coventry City on Sunday.
Watford signed Priskin from Győri ETO FC in August 2006 on a four year deal. He scored fifteen goals for the Hornets in his time at Vicarage Road. In March 2008, he was loaned out to Preston North End, and scored two goals in five appearances for the club.
Media reports suggest that Ipswich have paid Watford around £1.7m for the Hungarian international’s services.
