Hull City have completed the signing of Sone Aluko from Rangers subject to clearance. Aluko was looking for a new club after being one of several Rangers players opting not to transfer their contract to the Newco company and Hull boss Steve Bruce, who has been a long term admirer of the winger, swooped in. Aluko, 23, is known to Bruce as the duo worked together before at Birmingham City, where the former began his career.
Aluko netted 12 times in 23 appearances for Rangers and the move will bring to an end a four year stint in Scotland, which he began by joining Aberdeen in 2008.
Aluko is expected to put pen to paper a two year deal at the KC Stadium and the deal is expected to be formalised in the next few days.
