Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid have admitted that Colombian hotshot Radamel Falcao could leave in the summer. The striker has been in prolific form since making the switch to the Vicente Calderon from Porto last summer.
Falcao is currently keeping pace with the likes of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi at the top of the La Liga scoring charts. His form has led to interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester City.
The striker has a buy-out clause in his contract which is set at 60million Euros and the side from the capital couldn’t stand in his way if that clause was met. Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was in the stands to watch Falcao’s last performance, coincidently sitting next to the striker’s agent.
It looks like City and Chelsea will be in a two-way battle for striker’s services this summer. The destination of the player may be decided by Falcao himself.
