According to reports emanating from the British media Everton midfielder star Marouane Fellaini could make a £30million move to Chelsea in the January transfer window. The Belgium international has been in superb form this season in a more advanced role and was on target as Everton defeated Sunderland 2-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The strike was Fellaini’s sixth goal in the top flight this season and he has been one of the revelations of the top flight this season. Chelsea have not been afraid to splash the cash under Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
Roberto Di Matteo’s team have made a decent start to the campaign. However, it seems that the Italian is looking to strengthen his midfield options. The Blues are strongest in the attacking midfield area.
Chelsea could be looking at signing Fellaini as an anchor-man in midfield, a role he has played for most of his career at Goodison, until this season.
