Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that he would be interested in signing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney this summer. Rooney is looking to leave Old Trafford and the Gunners are believed to be interested in signing the England striker.
According to media reports, the Gunners have money to spend this summer and Wenger is prepared to splash out money some high-profile players. Arsenal have been linked with a move for Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, but Rooney looks like an alternative option to the Montenegrin international star.
Rooney has already been linked with a big money move to mega-rich French outfit PSG. However, a move to another Premier League job could be an attractive option.
Former-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is being linked with a return to the Premier League with champions Manchester United. Midfielder Fabregas moved to Spanish giants Barcelona last summer from the Gunners, but has not been able to claim a regular starting spot in the Barca starting line-up.
New Manchester United boss David Moyes is a big admirer of the 26-year-old star and is looking to strengthen his midfield options, after Paul Scholes retired at the end of the season. Fabregas has also been linked with a return to the Gunners.
