Sevilla and Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano would still like to move to Serie A next season. The 28 year-old came close to joining Serie A giants AC Milan this summer and is now being linked with a move to Juventus. Juventus will lose striker David Trezeguet next summer, as the Frenchman is planning to retire.
The former Flamengo striker finished as top goalscorer in this summer’s Confederations Cup and a move to Milan giants AC collapsed despite long and hard negotiations over a transfer fee. Fabiano was also linked with Premier League champions Manchester United.
Fabiano’s agent told Corriere dello Sport: “The market closed last week and it seems absurd to talk about transfers now,”
“However, if there is an interest from an Italian club then we will sit down and listen.
“We have not had any direct contact with Juventus so far, but it is an honour that such an important club is interested in Luis.
“Fabiano was disappointed when the Milan move collapsed. For now he will not be speaking about the transfer market unless there is something concrete.
“He wants to do well with Sevilla and with the national team. Whoever wants him will have to get in contact with Sevilla first and then speak to me.”
