Peterborough have pulled off something of a coup by signing Tottenham midfielder Danny Rose on loan till January. The youngster joined Spurs from Leeds United two years ago and is highly rated at White Hart Lane. The 19 year-old made his first team debut in the 5-1 Carling Cup victory over Doncaster last month.
The England under-21 spent a spell on loan at Championship side Watford last season and made seven appearances for the Hornets. He has been linked with a return to Vicarage Road on-loan and also been linked with a move to Championship rivals Sheffield United. He will go straight in to Darren Ferguson’s Posh squad for tonight’s clash against Plymouth. He will return to Spurs on the 10th January.
Meanwhile fellow Championship side Blackpool have signed Plymouth defender Marcel Seip on a one-month loan deal. The Dutch ace has been placed on the transfer list after a dressing room row with boss Paul Sturrock.
Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has signed the defender after Neal Eardley and Rob Edwards both picked up knocks against Peterborough last weekend. He could go straight in to the Tangerines squad for their clash against Bristol City tonight.
Holloway is delighted with Seip’s signing and told the clubs official website: “I’m delighted to have Marcel with us, he is a good solid player and he will give us another option in defence,”
