Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be among the clubs interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s French midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The 23 year old is out of contract at the end of the current 2018/19 season at Parc des Princes, and reports from France indicate that contract talks between him and the club over a potential extension have broken down.
Rabiot in recent times has been used sparingly from the bench by PSG boss Thomas Tuchel. He played only five minutes of the Parisians’ crunch Champions League encounter against Liverpool at home, and wasn’t even in the squad for their weekend 2-2 draw against Bordeaux- the first points dropped by Tuchel’s men in the league this season. He didn’t feature against Lyon a few weeks ago, and played only 11 minutes against Marseille- an indicator that he’s slipped down the pecking order at PSG.
The lack of minutes has apparently played on Rabiot’s mind, with the midfielder convinced that his future may be better served with a move away from Parc des Princes.
North London rivals Arsenal and Spurs are both said to be interested in the 23 year old’s services, with Spanish giants Barcelona also keeping tabs on the player.
