Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has revealed that he would like to see his brother Yaya Toure join him at Eastlands. Yaya currently plies his trade with European champions Barcelona. He has already been linked with moves to City, Arsenal and Chelsea in previous seasons.
The 26 year-old has had mixed fortunes in Barcelona despite having signed a one-year contract extension in the summer. He has been in and out of the first team at the Nou Camp this season and Barca boss Pep Guardiola has preferred Seydou Keita and Sergi Busquets in the holding midfield role.
Mark Hughes watched Toure play against Osasuna last week and has never hide his admiration for the Ivory Coast international. When Kolo asked if he would like City to buy his younger brother, he told the Manchester Evening News: “I hope so. He is a good player, and if he could come to our team that would be great. He has had a few hard times in Barcelona. He doesn’t play a lot, and he loves football and loves to play.
“If he can come, especially to a club in England, he would be really happy because the Premier League is a fantastic place to play football.”
