This is the transfer story that has been going on for the whole of the summer transfer window and is yet to reach its conclusion. At the moment it appears that we have reached a stalemate in this saga and so far there is no concrete offer that has been made.
The Paris Saint Germain sports director Leonardo has stated that there is no major development that has taken place in this transfer and that Neymar is not close to moving to any club. Indeed there have been some rumors that Barcelona’s officials have made it to Paris in order to negotiate a deal but it appears now that they are far from concluding this deal.
Barcelona will be keen to strengthen the team especially with the likely departure of Coutinho to Bayern Munich on loan. This will be a great opportunity for them to recreate their famous offensive trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar which have proved successful in the past.
At a certain point, there were some reports that Real Madrid was interested in signing Neymar but these rumors have also dried out during the recent days. Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has always been an admirer of the player and will likely be looking for a replacement for Gareth Bale should the player be allowed to leave in the coming days.
The Paris Saint Germain coach Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, has stated that Neymar still forms part of the team despite missing the first game of the season. He said that he understands the anger of the supporters but he does not necessarily agree with them.
For him Neymar is a really good player and that he is really helpful for the team but he does not know what will happen in the future.
