Macedonian international striker Goran Pandev has signed for Italian champions Inter on a free transfer. The striker won a release from his Lazio contract at the end of last year after a legal battle and had been linked with Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea.
However the 26 year-old always expressed his interest in a return to Inter. His first club in Italy was Inter but he never made a first appearance for the champions and has made a success of his career at Lazio. Pandev told the clubs official website: “I am really very happy,”
“My dream was always to remain at Inter, but things have gone well nevertheless. I grew, I became a man, a real player and today I am happy to be here.”
He continued: “The year has started very well for me. Now we need to win the Scudetto and do well in the Champions League so we can all be happy. I hope to contribute a lot, but it is especially important to win, then who gets the goals is a side issue. It is important to give my contribution to the team. I met my new team-mates and they are all talented guys.”
