Championship high-fliers West Brom have signed young West Ham striker Frank Nouble on an initialĀ months loan deal. The deal will go through on Tuesday when the emergency transfer window reopens.
Nouble is highly rated at Upton Park and has recently made a handful of first team appearances for West Ham in the absence of the injured Carlton Cole. However West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola has signed three strikers in the transfer window and will allow the youngster to move to the Championship to gain more first team experience.
West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has moved quickly to strengthen his attack after losing striker Ishmael Miller through an ankle injury. Di Matteo will also be without Jerome Thomas as he serves a four game suspension.
Di Matteo told his clubs official website: “Frank is an exciting, young player who I am delighted to welcome to the club,”
“He can play in any of the three forward positions – down the middle, wide left or wide right – and we hope the next month is a fruitful one for the club and Frank. His main attributes are that he’s powerful, quick and good on the ball but we mustn’t forget he is still very young.”
