With Etihad airways signing a mega 25 million pounds 3 year deal with Manchester City, times are surely changing for the Eastlands club. A lot of new players are expected to arrive at City in the summer and as a result the current crop of players may have to be sold or loaned out to cut the squad size.
One player likely to go on loan for next season is promising young goalkeeper Joe Hart. Hart,22, lost his first team place to Shay Given after the latter moved to City in January for 8 million pounds from Newcastle. Hart, who has a solitary England cap, is likely to go on a year long loan to one of the newly promoted sides – Wolves or Birmingham, for an estimated fee of about 3 million pounds.
This is similar to the loan deals of young keepers Ben Foster and Scott Crason, who were loaned out to fellow Premiership teams to gain relevant experience. Other players heading out of Eastlands could include Javi Garrido, Glauber Berti, Gelson Fernandes and Michael Ball. Manchester City also are rumoured to target Arsenal hit man Emanuel Adebayor. City are ready to splash out 21 million pounds for his services.
