Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea are among several Premier League clubs interested in highly rated Ajax winger David Neres. The 22-year-old has been a revelation for Erik ten Hag’s men this season and scored a fine individual goal that helped his side draw 1-1 with Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal earlier this week.
Neres has been one of the key figures in Ajax’s campaign this season and his form has even earned him a national cap with Brazil, indicating how quickly his star is rising. He made his debut in the Selecao’s 3-1 win over the Czech Republic last month, coming on as a second half replacement for Richarlison and set up a crucial goal for Gabriel Jesus that put Brazil 2-1 in front- they eventually won the game 3-1.
The troika of Neres, Hakim Ziyech and Dusan Tadic have wreaked havoc this season for Ajax and were instrumental in the Amsterdam outfit’s 4-1 drubbing of holders Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
Neres is valued at somewhere around £35m. He can play on both flanks, but has mostly been employed as a left winger in recent games by Ten Hag this season.
