Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld have officially confirmed the signing of teenager Burak Ince from Altinordu. The 17-year-old will move in late January 2022 after he officially turns 18, and has put pen to paper a four-and-a half year contract that will tie him to the club till the summer of 2025.
Interestingly, Bielefeld will pay a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros- a pretty high sum for a club like them, which speaks volumes of Ince’s potential. The youngster has been previously linked with the likes of Bayern and Man City, and has also stated Barcelona to be his dream destination. The 2.5-million-euro fee is also a club record fee, equaling the sum paid by Arminia to Nuremberg for winger Robin Hack earlier this year.
Ince’s club, Altinordu, have a good track of developing promising Turkish youngsters- both Cengiz Under and Caglar Soyuncu came through the ranks at the club. Altinordu currently play in the Turkish first division- they finished 6th in the 2020/21 season.
Arminia are currently second from bottom in the Bundesliga, having picked up 8 points from 11 games so far. They will face Wolfsburg at home in their first game after the November international break.
