Arsenal have completed the signing of South Korean star Park Chu Young from AS Monaco. The striker was all set to move to Ligue 1 outfit Lille OSC before the Gunners moved in with a late bid of their own. The 26 year old Park replaced Manchester United’s Ji Sung Park as captain of the Korean national side earlier this year and represented the nation at both the 2006 and 2010 World Cup.
Park Chu Young’s transfer is subject to registration approval and he has agreed a two year deal with the Gunners. Both Monaco and Arsenal did not announce the transfer fee, but sources have it to be somewhere around £10m.
