Former-Arsenal ace Andrey Arshavin has re-joined former-club Zenit St Petersburg, with the Russians contract expired at the Emirates Stadium. The 32-year-old enjoyed mixed fortunes in North London in his stint at the club.
Highs included scoring four goals against Liverpool at Anfield and the winning goal against Barcelona in the Champions League. However, Arshavin had fallen out-of-favour with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger in recent seasons and returned to Zenit on-loan in 2012.
The mercurial star has now returned to Zenit for his third stint at the club, where he has signed a two-year contract.
Another player who looks to be heading for the Arsenal exit is centre-back Johan Djourou. Bundesliga club Hannover are in talks with the Gunners about taking the Switzerland international on-loan for next season.
The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on-loan with the German club. The Bundesliga club are now confident that they can secure Djourou on-loan for next season, with a view to a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to be interested in signing Croatian wonderkid Tin Jedvaj. The 17-year-old is highly-rated and has already trained with the full Croatian national team.
