Andre Villas-Boas has turned his attention to Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar as he continues his search for a top class player under the sticks at White Hart Lane. The 32 year old Cesar’s future at Italian giants Inter Milan looks to be over after the Nerazzurri signed Slovenian Samir Handanovic from Udinese this summer and then omitted the Brazilian from their Europa League squad, thus pushing him down the pecking order at the San Siro.
AVB’s initial targets were Hugo Lloris and Maarten Stekelenburg, but he seems to have cooled his interest in both of them. Cesar has been with Inter since 2005, when he joined them from Chievo Verona.
Spurs already have Brad Friedel, Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes as keepers on their books.
