New West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has set his eyes on signing former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster. Clarke, who took over the reigns at the Hawthorns from Roy Hodgson, has identified Foster as the perfect candidate to strengthen his last line of defence.
Foster spent last season on loan at the Hawthorns from Birmingham City and is keen for another spell of top flight football. Birmingham failed in their bid for promotion and will listen to offers for Foster, who is reportedly valued at around £5m. However the Blues are said to want somewhere close to £8m for the 29 year old goalie.
