West Bromwich Albion striker Chris Wood has agreed to join Bristol City on loan till the end of the season. Robins striker Derek McInnes is a long time admirer of the 20 year old New Zealand striker, having previously failed to sign him when he was in charge of SPL club St.Johnstone.
McInnes made his move for Wood shortly after the latter’s loan spell with Birmingham City came to an end. Blues boss Chris Houghton was eager to re-sign Wood because of his amazing form at St.Andrew’s, but the Robins now seem to have won the race for the Kiwi international.
Wood could make his Robins debut this weekend when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
