Tottenham superstar Gareth Bale has today moved to dismiss speculation that he is about to leave the north London outfit this summer. The 23-year-old claimed the PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year at the PFA awards ceremony last night.
Bale has been linked with moves to Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent months, but the winger has stated that he takes no notice of speculation and wants to do the best for his team.
Meanwhile, Manchester United looks to be in a battle with German giants Bayern Munich for the £30million capture of Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has recently revealed his admiration for the highly-rated striker, after the Polish international destroyed Real Madrid with four goals in his team’s 4-1 victory in the Champions League semi-final.
Lewandowski’s agent has recently revealed that Lewandowski has already agreed a move elsewhere, but was not prepared to reveal which club has reached an agreement with the player.
Elsewhere, Heerenveen striker Alfred Finnbogason is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Sunderland and Everton. The 24-year-old has struck 23 times in just 29 appearances in the Dutch top flight this season.
His prolific form this season has raised his profile and it seems the Icelandic international could be on the move again this summer.
