Bale linked with AC Milan move

Tottenham defender Gareth Bale is being linked with a move to Italian giants AC Milan. The Welshman has struggled to hold down a regular place at White Hart since his arrival from Southampton in 2007, after being plagued by injuries.

The 20 year-old’s agent has revealed that he would be interested in a move to the Rossoneri. Tottenham are believed to value the former Saints star at £12million, with Birmingham and Ajax are also showing an interest in the full-back.

Bale’s agent Peppino Tirri told Calciomercato.it. “It’s true, the player likes Milan but for the moment no official offer has arrived for him,”

“Many coaches are a fan of Bale, (Harry) Redknapp included. Unsellable? In today’s market there is no such thing as an unsellable player.

“However, no offer has come in, we have not talked about it (a transfer) with Tottenham, nor of his price.

“That said, I think that the figures circulating are correct.”

Meanwhile new Spurs defender Sebastien Bassong has revealed he has no regrets about leaving Newcastle saying: “It has been an interesting year and I learned a lot at Newcastle,”

“I’m really happy to have played for Newcastle but had to move to improve myself and make a step forward in my career.

“I’m sure Spurs will be a good thing for me. I’m very, very happy to be here at Spurs. There is a smile on my face.

“Spurs are a famous team in Europe and the world, everyone knows the players here. The manager is famous with a good reputation, that is why I didn’t hesitate to come here.”
