Promoted Serie A side Bari have signed Italian midfielder Massimo Donati from Scottish giants Celtic. Bari will pay the Bhoys £1.5million for the services of Donati, who marked his last Celtic appearance with a goal ( against Arsenal in the Champions League)
Bari have given Donati a four year contract. Donati was signed by the Hoops in 2007 from AC Milan for £3m. His career at Celtic Park seemed to be on the decline towards the end of the 08-09 season, but Tony Mowbray gave him a fresh lease of life as he considered Donati to be very much part of the Celtic first XI.
Donati started his career with Atalanta before moving to AC Milan in 2001. However he never really established himself at the San Siro and was loaned out to a host of Italian clubs before moving north to Scotland in 2007.
