Swindon Town have officially announced the signing of Joe Devera from league rivals Barnet. Devera, 24, has signed a two year contract with Swindon. The defender is a product of Barnet’s youth system and has been with the Bees since 2005.
Devera was a standout player for Barnet last season and was named their Player of the Season for 2010/11. He has made over 200 appearances for the Bees but now becomes new Swindon manager Paolo di Canio’s first signing of the summer window. He had a short spell on loan at Northwood during his time at Underhill.
Devera is primarily a right back but can also play in the centre of defence if required.
