According to reports in Germany, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Sadio Mane. The Senegalese international’s contract at Liverpool expires in 2023 and he is yet to agree terms on a new deal, paving the way for a potential move this summer if the two parties cannot reach an agreement.
Bayern are reportedly keen on a marquee signing this summer and Mane fits that bill. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic reportedly met Mane’s agent over the weekend for talks over a potential switch.
Mane has been at Liverpool since 2016 after joining them from Southampton. He normally plays as a left winger, but has been used as a centre-forward at times. With Liverpool signing Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, the 30-year-old Mane’s future looks a tad uncertain at Anfield. Nevertheless, he has made 47 appearances for the Reds across all competitions this season and also won the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.
Liverpool are very much in the hunt for a quadruple, with Mane’s goals helping them beat Villarreal in the Champions League semifinal. They play Aston Villa in the league in midweek followed by a FA Cup final clash against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
