After being left out of the squad for Manchester City’s opening encounter against Tottenham, fiery Welsh forward is looking to his hometown club Cardiff City. Bellamy was banned from training at Manchester City after his recent outbursts against the club and the manager. He decided to train with Dave Jones’ team instead, and is hoping to make a loan-move which could last for six months or the whole season. City have also given him the permission to negotiate terms with the Championship club.
There is a lot of interest in Bellamy from Premier League sides too. Everton and Tottenham are keen on the services of the 31-year old Welshman. With Mark Hughes, Bellamy’s manager at three different clubs, taking over at Fulham, a move to Craven Cottage can never be ruled out as well. Celtic gaffer Neil Lennon is also a huge fan of Bellamy and is keeping tabs on the situation.
Bellamy has been a Cardiff fan since childhood and the prospect of helping them in their promotion bid is too endearing to him. A lot of his family is also based in the South Wales area and a move to Cardiff would see hordes of public flock into the stadium to see their hometown boy in action.
