Sunderland have agreed to terminate the remainder of Louis Saha’s contract at the Stadium of Light. The revelation was made by Black Cats boss Martin O’Neill who said that the veteran forward was free to leave the club in the January transfer window. O’Neill also revealed that there was interested from an unnamed South African club for the former Manchester United striker.
Saha joined Sunderland on a one year deal last summer from Tottenham Hotspur but has been a fringe player for most of the current season and is reportedly upset with his lack of playing time at the Stadium of Light.
If Saha choses to leave for the PSL, it will mark his exit from England after nearly a decade and a half in the Premier League since his switch from Metz.
