Premier League Blackburn Rovers are believed to be tracking young French defender Paul Baysse. The 21 year-old is currently plying his trade in the Ligue 2 but has been in impressive form. He has attracted the interest of clubs across Europe with his good form.
Baysse was prevented from leaving Sedan in the summer but he is now hoping to secure a big move. He has revealed that Blackburn have already lodged their interest with his club. However there is yet to be any deal in place.
He told France Football: “The night we played Nantes, I had the opportunity to meet with Blackburn officials along with my agent and Sedan officials,”
Wolves have also registered an interest in the French under-21 international but he has admitted that he wants to play at a higher level if he does leave Sedan. He wants to play at the best possible level and with Wolves in a poor position in the Premier League they won’t prove an attractive prospect.
“I don’t want to leave just for the sake of it,” he said.
“But I have not changed my mind. I want to go on improving in an intelligent way and I want to go as far as possible.”
