Birmingham City have completed the double signing of Pablo Ibanez and Wade Elliot from West Bromwich Albion and Burnley respectively. Both Ibanez and Elliot have signed two year deals at St.Andrews’. The fee paid by Blues for the two signings was not revealed.
Elliot, 32, leaves Turf Moor after a gap of nearly six years. He was the scorer of the goal that pushed Burnley into the Premier League at the expense of Sheffield United.
Spanish defender Ibanez was resigned to warming the bench at West Brom and decided to make the switch in order to get some regular football. The 30 year old joined the Baggies from Atletico Madrid last summer and only made a total of fourteen appearances for the club last season.
