According to several media reports, Chelsea have already made their move for highly rated Belgian teenager Romelu Lukaku by offering Anderlecht £20m odd for the striker’s services. Lukaku is also being chased by Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid and the Blues are making all efforts to ensure that the “next Drogba”, as Lukaku is so often dubbed due to his similarities to the Ivory Coast captain, lands up at Stamford Bridge instead of the Bernabeu.
Lukaku reportedly prefers Chelsea to Madrid, a fact that could weigh heavily in the Blues’ favour should both clubs have their offers accepted by Anderlecht.
Lukaku is currently contracted to Anderlecht till 2013, but is widely expected to leave Belgium this summer for a top European side.
