After landing Ryo Miyaichi on loan from Premier League giants Arsenal, Bolton have made another addition to their forward line by securing the signature of exciting England U-21 international Marvin Sordell. The 20 year old moves to the Reebok Stadium from Championship outfit Watford and has signed a three and a half year contract with the Trotters.
Watford left Sordell out of their squad to face Millwall last night in order to enable the transfer to be pushed through at the last minute. The fee Bolton have paid for Sordell was not revealed, but sources say it could rise to as much as £3.5m depending on performances.
Sordell was being tracked by Cardiff City and a number of Premier League clubs, but Bolton’s increased bid saw them win the race.
