Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Lukas Jutkiewicz on a temporary loan from Coventry City. Boro were initially hoping to sign Jutkiewicz on a permanent deal but were unable to reach an agreement with the Sky Blues and so have opted to temporarily take him on loan so that they can make use of his services.
A permanent deal for Jutkiewicz is expected to be thrashed out next week, but the loan deal allows him to make his debut for Boro as early as this afternoon against Burnley.
Jutkiewicz, 22, has been with Coventry since 2010 and counts Swindon, Everton, Plymouth, Huddersfield and Motherwell amongst his former club.
The transfer fee expected to be paid by Boro for Jutkiewicz is expected to be somewhere in the £1.5-2m mark.
