Middlesbrough and Sheffield United have completed the signings of Faris Haroun and Elian Parrino respectively. Belgian midfielder Faroun joins Boro on a free transfer from Geerminal Beerschot while defender Parrino arrives at Bramall Lane from Argentine club Estudiantes.
Haroun has signed a three year contract at the Riverside and is in line to make his Boro debut this weekend against Birmingham City. Manager Tony Mowbray wanted him to feature in the games against Barnsley and Leeds but couldn’t do so as the deal was held up due to delay in international clearance.
22 year old Parino, who also had a short spell on loan at Sheffield United last season, has put pen to paper a one year deal and expressed delight at having managed to secure a return to the Blades.
