Championship outfit Barnsley have completed the loan of Korey Smith on loan from Norwich City. Smith becomes the Tykes’ second loan signing from the Premier League in the span of a few days after the capture of Michael Tonge from Norwich’s league rivals Stoke City. However unlike Tonge, who will stay on loan till the end of the season, Smith will only be at Oakwell for a month.
The 20 year old Smith has struggled to gain regular first team football for the Canaries this season and has so far made only one appearance- in the Carling Cup, when the Canaries were thrashed 4-0 by Milton Keynes Dons.
Smith could make an appearance when Barnsley meet Derby Count in a midweek league fixture.
